When your dreams turn to dust, vacuum!

Desmond Tutu wrote “when your dreams turn to dust, vacuum” wow, what a powerful thought? Instead of sitting there in all the mess, it’s time to re-evaluate where you are going; it’s just the universes way of saying it’s time for change not for standing still.

“It’s just the universes way of saying it’s time for change not for standing still”

The good news about getting in a mess is that it shows you have tried, in fact probably everything to get to the point where it all caves in. Well guess what it’s time to vacuum, to dust yourself off, clear the mess so you can think straight, and then in a nice cleaner, fresher environment, re-evaluate, makes some new plans and gently perhaps at first, start moving forward again in new directions.

For me the last 3-4 days have been hell on earth for me as my good old PC has broken down, after 3 visits from my PC tech friend, we still cannot identify the problem, and so I am now on my little netbook. Netbook’s are OK but I cannot do all the great things I can on my PC, so some depression and anxiety set it. Then my friend said “why not go to the PC fair and see what other options are out there?” Good idea, so I will toddle off there today and see what’s new in the world that will allow me to work happily again and perhaps in new directions? I sense it’s time for a change.

Sometimes when things go wrong, it’s nothing more than the universe saying, it’s time for a change, it’s time to think outside the box. It can be annoying, it can stretch you, however sometimes learning to beat on a new drum can be extremely rewarding. If you can hear it, the universe always offers a way through.

“learning to beat on a new drum can be extremely rewarding. If you can hear it, the universe always offers a way through”

The problem is waddling around in all the mess we have created for ourselves it’s often hard to see the new path. Instead we keep beating ourselves up jumping up and down in the same old dust!

Have you ever been brave enough to have a good clear out at home? Maybe go through your wardrobe and clear out all those clothes that you no longer wear? Believe you me, when you do it frees up stuck energy.

The Japanese are into such things, with their minimalism, and there is today a whole movement of new age type thinkers dedicated to clearing the clutter.

Indeed I have found to be true that everything around us carries energy, positive and negative. For example let’s say you have a neck tie, or a dress that sits in your wardrobe, you never wear anymore because it reminds you of a difficult time in your life? Well then my question is, why hang on to it, don’t you see even looking at it drags you down, so go through your entire wardrobe and clear out that negative energy, the garments themselves you can give to charity, however for your wellbeing you need to free up that stuck energy, in effect as Desmond would say, don’t be stuck, vacuum!

Then once you accomplish that, see how you feel? I can guarantee that you will start to feel lighter, like a whole load has been lifted of your shoulders, for indeed it has.

Why stop with the closet? Go through your entire house, the garage, the garden shed, the filing cabinet, have a good clear out, get cleaning, painting, and vacuuming! Get better organised and above all create some new space for new thinking and for new things to come in your life.

So if you are thinking today that your dreams have all turned to dust, get the vacuum out and get clearing, and get ready for an exciting, positive and hopeful new beginning?

I promise you, it’s here now and starts today.

Live in the moment!
